In 2010 I volunteered onboard a marine conservation vessel in Antarctic waters. I served as a deckhand and helicopter assistant, confronting illegal whale poachers in the most hostile waters of the world. That life-altering voyage inspired this series of seven light box drawings titled Ship Life. These were exhibited at Tallinn Light Biennale in 2013 and were also the focal point of my first solo show at Rundum Artist-Run Space.
